Carita Miller has been around cameras and studios for as long as she can remember. Growing up in Detroit, she danced on a local television show as a kid, an early break that led to TV and radio commercial work. Watching her mother, Montez Miller, produce at BET showed her what a life behind the scenes in entertainment could look like, and that image stuck with her long before she found her own lane in the industry. That path took shape through an internship at WJLB and a stint at Arista Records, where she got a firsthand look at the machinery of the music business. She even had the chance to introduce H-Town for their first national TV appearance on BET. Over time, Miller says she realized her real strength wasn't performing, but recognizing talent and connecting people to opportunity — an instinct that eventually pulled her into artist management and music supervision. Today, she goes by "The Lady With The Golden Ear," running a boutique music supervision company under that name alongside CM2 Entertainment, her artist management and event production venture. On the artist side, she's currently working with Asaka the Renegade, who has new music and videos coming featuring T-Pain, Ari B, who just dropped a single produced by Frantz P. LeBlanc, and Sam Watson, who has new material on the way following his release "Soft Girl Era." She also just wrapped her first music-supervised series, headed to Tubi, and is coordinating on a film alongside mentor Andy Ross. Miller is building out her booking roster and forming relationships with talent buyers globally, all while preparing to begin a master's program in Music Supervision at Berklee Online — following her bachelor's from the school, which she's pursuing at 50, alongside raising her children. For Miller, the goal isn't just credits or placements. As she puts it, when she gets in the room, she wants to make sure someone else gets in too.
