ATLANTA, GA — “Every time I go out, you know I gotta show out.” In the words of Atlanta’s very own hip-hop legend Jeezy, and DDG clearly understood the assignment.
The rapper and entertainment personality brought his birthday festivities and Hit-A-Thon Deluxe album release celebration to Atlanta’s legendary Cascade Skating Rink, and this time, the celebration came with a little old-school Atlanta flavor.
This Iz ATL was on the scene as DDG traded the traditional nightclub setting for one of the city’s most recognizable cultural landmarks. And he wasn’t just there to make an appearance. The birthday boy laced up his skates and hit the rink himself.
The celebration drew a notable lineup of familiar faces, including 42 Dugg, K Camp, Domani, King Harris, Boston Richey, Karrahbooo, Gio, legendary producer Zaytoven, and industry executive Mike Norris.
A Different Kind of Birthday Turn-Up
There’s something about Cascade that Atlanta natives understand. The skating rink has long been part of the city’s social and entertainment culture, bringing together generations through music, skating, fashion, and good times.
So when DDG decided to bring his birthday and album release celebration to Cascade, it was a fitting choice for a city where the culture has always extended beyond the recording studio.
Rather than simply celebrating from the sidelines, DDG got in on the action, skating during the festivities.
And with some of hip-hop’s recognizable names in attendance, the evening brought together the nostalgia of Atlanta’s skating culture with today’s entertainment scene.
Hip-Hop Heavyweights Were in the Building
The guest list was a reflection of the connections that continue to bring the music industry together.
From 42 Dugg and Boston Richey to Atlanta favorites K Camp, Domani, King Harris, and Karrahbooo, the celebration drew talent representing different sounds and generations of hip-hop.
Grammy-winning producer Zaytoven, whose contributions helped define Atlanta’s trap sound, was also spotted at the celebration, along with industry executive Mike Norris and Gio.
Their attendance added another layer to an occasion that celebrated both DDG’s personal milestone and his latest musical release.
DDG Continues to Bet on Himself
Before the music industry knew DDG as a recording artist, millions knew him through YouTube.
What began as creating content eventually developed into a career spanning music, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.
And while transitioning from internet fame into the recording industry comes with its own challenges, DDG has continued finding ways to expand his reach.
His Hit-A-Thon Deluxe project represents another chapter in that journey.
One thing that stands out about DDG’s career is his understanding of the power of building an audience and maintaining a connection with the people who support him.
In today’s entertainment industry, that kind of influence carries weight.
Atlanta Always Understands the Assignment
From the skating rink to the recording studio, Atlanta has never been short on culture.
DDG’s celebration at Cascade brought together the city’s skating tradition, hip-hop community, and entertainment scene for an occasion that felt right at home in the A.
With another birthday celebrated, a deluxe project to promote, and a room filled with familiar faces, DDG had plenty of reasons to enjoy the moment.
And judging by his decision to hit the skating floor himself, he wasn’t about to let the night pass without having a little fun.
