Long before she had a business card, Diana Schweinbeck was the girl with the Sharpie-decorated burned CDs, always somehow ending up backstage or in the middle of the action at shows. She just didn't know yet that those small moments were pointing her toward a career in music.
That path came into focus at Georgia State University, where Schweinbeck studied Business Management while immersed in downtown Atlanta's music scene. The mix of formal business training and genuine friendships with artists, producers, DJs, and engineers gave her an idea: combine the two. That led her to found Schweinbeck LLC, where she began managing artists, curating events, and learning as she went.
Today, Schweinbeck is Senior Director of Artist & Label Services at Cinq Music, where she leads a department focused on supporting artists and label partners from onboarding through release strategy and marketing. She continues to manage a roster of artists including Squalla, Sy Ari Da Kid, Damar Jackson, and Paxquiao, working alongside them on releases and long-term career planning.
Her most personal project, though, is the return of the Schweinbeck Industry Mixer. She first launched the event in Atlanta back in 2012 as a way to bring music professionals together to build real relationships. After a hiatus, the mixer is relaunching on January 14, 2027, at Vinyl at Center Stage in Atlanta.
Schweinbeck says her drive comes from watching people build something out of nothing—independent thinkers who create their own opportunities rather than waiting for them. That philosophy shapes how she approaches her own work: less about chasing a single blueprint, more about building genuine relationships that last.
Ultimately, she measures success simply. If someone can say she helped them reach the next level, or connected them to an opportunity they wouldn't have found otherwise, she considers the work done.
