Lecasshius Stargell, known in Atlanta music circles as CEO DollaSign, didn't start out behind a desk at a major label. He started on the ground level of the city's entertainment scene — promoting parties, booking local artists, and helping create performance opportunities for the city's talent pool.
That early hustle became an education. Stargell has said those years taught him how the industry actually runs beyond the songs themselves: networking, budgeting, negotiation, and how to help artists get real exposure. Building relationships with artists, promoters, and other industry professionals laid the groundwork for what would become his career as an A&R executive and talent manager.
Family sits at the center of Stargell's story. He points to his mother as his biggest inspiration, crediting her sacrifices of time, money, and peace of mind for helping him become who he is. Alongside that, he's candid about another driving force — what he calls "revenge," pushing forward for the people who didn't believe in him.
These days, Stargell's attention is on the artists he's developing and the deals he's building around them. He points to 2Rare's collaboration with Amerie charting in the Top 40 on radio, along with Lil Bailey's recent signing with Terry Tesla. His roster and circle also include GuapTarantino, new signee SCY JIMM, and Omerta Po Baby — names he's actively working to put in front of bigger audiences.
For Stargell, the mission comes down to a simple belief he lives by: hard work beats talent when talent is hardly working. It's a philosophy shaped by years of learning the business side of music from the ground up, and one he continues to apply as he works to turn opportunities into lasting careers for the artists he manages.
As CEO DollaSign, Stargell represents a piece of Atlanta's music infrastructure — the executives and managers working behind the scenes to move the culture forward.
