Long before he was JOKHA, he was a 15-year-old in Córdoba, Argentina, stepping into freestyle sessions and written battles, sharpening the writing and delivery that would become his foundation. That grind led to his first release, "El Reloj," in 2016, and the slow, independent build of a project that refuses to sit still — moving through rap, trap, R&B, reggaetón, dembow, dancehall, and RKT rather than settling into one lane. His grandfather, a tango musician, was JOKHA's first real connection to music, and he counts that influence alongside a wide range of artists — 50 Cent, Drake, The Weeknd, Jay-Z, Young Thug, OutKast, Daddy Yankee, and Wisin & Yandel among them — as pieces he's absorbed and reshaped into his own sound over the years. That international pull became real with "Bailando Twerk," released in 2021, which he says has become his most-streamed track in the U.S., now his leading international market according to his ONErpm data. It's part of why he's looking toward Atlanta specifically, pointing to the city's influence on hip-hop, trap, and R&B as a throughline in the music that shaped him. Since the start of 2026, JOKHA has been releasing steadily as an independent artist and producer — "More Money More Problems," "Habitación 420," "Antonio Banderas," and "Dance Down" — under a more conceptual, mature direction he's calling Foresi. A reggaetón single, "La Almohada," is due September 21, 2026, with "Foresi Vol. 1" set for January 2027, alongside collaborations with artists from different countries. For JOKHA, the goal isn't just output — it's connection. He wants listeners to hear their own experiences in his songs, treating his catalog as a running document of who he is and how he's changing, and inviting fans to feel like part of that evolution rather than just an audience for it.
