Doriynn Morris, known also as Dorii Elise, didn't grow up in Atlanta, but the city has become the place where her imagination found its outlet. Raised in Dothan, Alabama, she spent her childhood making up stories in her room, drawn early to being in front of a camera. That pull led her first into modeling, with photoshoots starting around ages 18 to 20, before she made the move to Atlanta in 2020. Her early years in the city were spent working in content creation and appearing in music videos for celebrities. But over time, she found herself wanting something that felt more personal. That search led her into comedy skits, then further into acting, writing, and filmmaking. Along the way, her ambitions shifted from simply appearing on screen to shaping the stories themselves. Her credits now include projects such as "Desire: Submission," "Toxic Lust," and "For My Man." Morris points to her mother as a central inspiration, crediting her for encouraging her writing long before it became something she could build a career around. She also names Keenen Ivory Wayans as an influence, pointing to how he brought his family into the entertainment industry together. Beyond that, she says she draws creative fuel from her own life and the people around her, turning everyday moments and personalities into material. Right now, Morris is focused on writing a 10-episode series she plans to pitch to streaming platforms, a project that reflects her push toward telling longer, more layered stories on her own terms. Across acting, writing, and content creation, she says the goal stays the same: to make work that feels authentic, that people can see themselves in, and that leaves them feeling entertained and encouraged to be themselves.
