For the first time, the Georgia-Florida rivalry game will be played in Atlanta, and the fan-favorite Georgia Watch Along Show will broadcast live on FOX Local to mark the occasion.
Renovations at Jacksonville's EverBank Stadium have pushed the annual matchup, long nicknamed "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party," to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic kicks off at 3:30 p.m. EST Saturday.
UGASports has run the Watch Along for several seasons, pairing former Georgia head coach Jim Donnan with UGASports publisher Radi Nabulsi for live, Dawgs-focused commentary fans can sync with the TV broadcast. Donnan led Georgia from 1996-2000, posting a 40-19 record, earning 1997 SEC Coach of the Year honors, and landing in the College Football Hall of Fame. He also coached current Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.
Nabulsi, a Georgia alum who has covered the Bulldogs for 33 years and led UGASports for the past 12, said the show grew out of fan frustration with national broadcast crews. He said Donnan's ability to predict plays before the snap, along with his candid, pro-Georgia perspective, helped the show draw tens of thousands of viewers.
Fans can watch or listen via the free FOX Local app and comment live during the broadcast.
