Growing up in Tunisia, J.Dhaf's earliest memories of music came from his father, who would bring him along to concerts as a kid. Those nights left a mark early — he started singing at weddings, and by 7 years old he was already immersed in music. It wasn't until 2018, though, that he recorded his first professional song, turning a childhood pastime into a real pursuit.
J.Dhaf's sound moves fluidly across rap, trap, and reggaeton, and just as fluidly across languages — he raps and sings in Arabic, English, and Spanish, often within the same body of work. That blend is at the center of his next move: a solo album that weaves all three languages together, a project he says reflects the different sides of who he is rather than sticking to one lane.
His father remains a guiding force behind the music, though the inspiration has evolved. Where he once looked to what his father lived through and overcame, J.Dhaf now says his son has become his biggest motivation — a shift that shows up in the themes running through his catalog: love, how to live, and how to love yourself.
That message is intentional. Ask J.Dhaf what he wants listeners to walk away with, and he doesn't point to a hook or a hit — he wants people to love themselves, chase what they actually want, and put in the work on their own growth.
He's performed at concerts along the way and, as he puts it, guarantees fans will enjoy his live show. With a solo album in the works spanning three languages and a story rooted in family, J.Dhaf is one to watch for listeners in Atlanta looking for something that crosses borders — musically and otherwise.
