Julian Marshall Is Building Bridges Between Atlanta Talent and the Industry

Julian Marshall, known professionally as Capo, didn't set out to become a fixture of Atlanta's entertainment scene — he learned the business by watching one up close. Marshall, who is originally from California, got his start working alongside his uncle, Leo Marshall, a celebrity photographer, filmmaker, production company owner and former director for Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Helping curate major celebrity gatherings and events at his uncle's side gave him a firsthand education in how the industry actually runs, and that foundation shaped the career he's built since. Today, Marshall works as a music and entertainment executive, celebrity booking agent, artist development consultant, media personality, celebrity interviewer and event curator, with more than a decade in the industry across Atlanta and Miami. His work spans nightlife, radio, media, celebrity bookings, artist development and live events, connecting artists, DJs, promoters, venues and media platforms. His uncle remains one of his biggest inspirations. Watching Leo Marshall build his own production company while working professionally in television, he says, showed him "the importance of ownership, relationships and creating your own opportunities." He also credits his own personal journey, and what he's had to overcome along the way, as continued motivation to build something lasting. Right now, Marshall is focused on expanding his entertainment platforms throughout Atlanta — developing independent artists, curating weekly events, conducting artist and celebrity interviews, and creating connections between talent and the DJs, media outlets, venues and promoters who can move careers forward. At the center of it all is a philosophy he's held onto since those early days learning the ropes: that longevity in entertainment comes down to relationships, consistency and professionalism. Marshall says his goal going forward is to keep using his experience and platforms to open doors for the next generation of talent, helping them navigate the business strategically as he continues expanding his footprint across Atlanta.
