Kashaveli didn't grow up chasing rap as much as he grew up surrounded by music itself. Raised in Henderson, North Carolina in a family full of musicians, he picked up instruments early — trombone, piano — before writing his first song in high school. That was enough to hook him, and he's been rapping ever since.
His biggest inspiration isn't a fellow artist but his father, who moved to America at 19 and built a life from the ground up. That story of grinding and working with what you have shapes how Kashaveli talks about his own path: independent, self-built, and unwilling to wait on permission.
That independence shows in his resume. Kashaveli is a college graduate with degrees in Marketing and Music, and he's the founder of Kashway Marketing LLC, running his career as both artist and entrepreneur. He calls his style "Speed Music" — songs meant to soundtrack every part of life, from celebration to setback, built to be authentic and versatile enough for listeners to see themselves in it. That approach has carried him to stages in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Virginia.
He just released a remix of his fan-favorite track "Locked In," reworked by producer David Sisko with electric bounce and breakbeats woven into the original. It's a bridge to what's next: his upcoming project "Alienomics," which he's been building with producers spanning New York to Atlanta, promising sharp production paired with lyrics and storytelling he's putting extra weight behind.
The title captures his message. Kashaveli wants listeners to understand that being yourself is the most "alien" thing you can do in a world that rewards sameness — and that you don't need to fit the social norm to succeed. His advice is straightforward: get educated, take risks, and work hard. Alienomics is coming soon, and it sounds like Kashaveli is ready to make his case.
