Lavender KiiNG has been writing since the third grade, but he traces his real start to 2023, when he released "Danny Phantom," the track he credits with laying the foundation for his sound. Born out of Watts, California and now calling Las Vegas home, he describes his music as a blend of hip-hop and new age, shaped by that West Coast grit paired with Vegas hustle.
He points to a wide range of influences — Lil Wayne, Tyler, The Creator, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and NLE Choppa among them — artists he admires for refusing to blend in. That same refusal shows up in his own approach. Above all, though, he says his biggest inspiration is God, framing his music as less a career move and more a calling he's here to fulfill.
Things have picked up speed for the artist lately. He recently appeared on the CWETV show Loyalty Test and signed on as a brand ambassador for RYZE Mushroom Coffee and STFU Design. He's staying tight-lipped on what's next, saying he prefers to let his faith guide the timing rather than force an announcement.
Music is only one piece of what he's building. Lavender KiiNG also runs Living Life Lavishly, a lifestyle brand that includes The Lavish DuRag, his own line of premium velvet durags, and he's released a debut album, Raps Dynasty, directing his own videos along the way.
At the center of it all is a simple message: be yourself, unapologetically. He says he grew up without a role model who made his dreams feel possible, and he wants his own path — as an artist, entrepreneur, and father — to serve as proof for others that theirs are, too.
