Shontella "Ahshay" Turner has built a career out of turning other people's visions into something tangible. Known to many as "Your Favorite Camera Girl," the Atlanta native is the Owner and CEO of Ahshay Studios Creative Holding LLC, the umbrella company behind Ahshay Studios and AHS Management.
Her path started simply, with a passion for photography and visual storytelling. As clients began trusting her with more of their creative vision, that passion expanded into videography, editing, branding, creative direction, music visuals, commercials, and full-scale productions. Along the way, Turner says she realized her work was shifting from just capturing content to helping people build brands and develop careers. That realization is what eventually grew Ahshay Studios into a broader media and production company, with AHS Management following to support talent development.
Today, Turner works across photography, commercial and film production, branding, marketing, content creation, event production, and talent management, with hands-on experience using Sony, Canon, and DJI equipment. She says her biggest inspiration is the people she creates for, artists, entrepreneurs, and business owners with a vision who need someone to help bring it to life, as well as her own drive to keep growing and working across multiple creative disciplines rather than staying confined to one.
Turner is currently rebranding and expanding both Ahshay Studios and AHS Management into what she describes as a complete creative production and talent-development company. That includes building out more commercial work with businesses, growing into larger film and television projects, developing artists and creators, and producing more original content. Heading into October and November 2026, she's putting a particular focus on cinematic commercial production for businesses while continuing to grow the talent-management side of the company.
At the core of it, Turner says she wants clients to feel like their vision was seen, understood, and elevated, and she hopes other creatives take away that it's possible to build your own lane, learn multiple sides of the industry, and turn creativity into a real, sustainable company.
