O'Charley's, the Nashville-based restaurant chain, has closed all of its corporate-owned locations nationwide, including its final Georgia outposts in Stockbridge and Canton. A third remaining Georgia location, in Fort Oglethorpe, also appears to have shut down. The closures happened suddenly on a Wednesday, with reports first surfacing from restaurant trade outlet NRN and The Tennessean. Phone lines at both metro Atlanta locations and the Fort Oglethorpe restaurant went dead, and the company's official website returned a "Site not found" error by that evening. O'Charley's Instagram and Facebook accounts were also taken offline, and corporate representatives could not be reached for comment. At the Stockbridge location, a printed notice on the door alerted customers to the shutdown. Longtime patron Rita Tyler told a local news crew she was saddened by the news, noting her church group regularly met there and would now need to find a new spot. Founded in 1971, O'Charley's had built a footprint largely across the South and parts of the Midwest. Other locations in Tennessee, Ohio and Kentucky reportedly closed the same night, though at least one Ohio franchise indicated it would keep operating for now.
