Stone Mountain native Shelovemal is an R&B artist whose path into music began with family. His late brother, a producer, was the one who first brought him into the studio, and after his brother passed, Shelovemal decided to keep that passion alive and see how far he could take it. He released his first single not long after, then moved to LA following college to pursue music full time. That sense of family runs deep in his story. Shelovemal counts his brothers as his biggest inspiration, recalling growing up watching them perform with the whole city behind them. As the youngest, he carries a clear sense of purpose: to push things further than any of them imagined. These days, Shelovemal wears more than one hat. He's songwriting, vocal producing, and releasing his own records, all while continuing to develop as an artist in his own right. He's also currently working with a handful of LA-based artists, helping shape their projects, and stepping into new creative territory with a short film project that led him to write his first gospel record. Looking ahead, he has several singles he's preparing to release over the next few months, continuing to build out his catalog as both a writer and performer. At the core of it all, Shelovemal says he wants his music to make people feel something, whether that's love, nostalgia, or simply a vibe to escape into. He's aiming for records that connect on a personal level, the kind that pull listeners back for more. For an artist shaped by loss and legacy, that pursuit of real connection feels like the throughline: a reminder that his brother's influence lives on in every record he puts out, and that Stone Mountain's newest voice is just getting started.
