By Sienna Atlantis | This Iz ATL ATLANTA, GA — One thing about the A, we know when somebody comes through making moves! Yung Miami, better known as Caresha, has been heavy in these Atlanta streets, making her rounds and keeping the city talking ahead of her highly anticipated solo album, Watch Dis, set to drop October 23. From tapping in with Atlanta radio legend Greg Street at V-103 to making an appearance during Clark Atlanta University’s homecoming festivities, Caresha has been outside. And of course, This Iz ATL was in the building for her exclusive Pandora Playback at SiriusXM Studios, hosted by Atlanta’s own FlyGuyDC. During the listening experience, Caresha gave us a sneak peek at what she’s been working on, playing a few records from her upcoming project. It’s one thing to hear about an artist’s next move, but it’s another to be in the room and actually hear the music before it drops. Now, one thing about Caresha, she’s never been a stranger to keeping people talking. From her days with the City Girls to building her own platform through Caresha Please, she’s continued to make a name for herself outside of music. But this time around, it’s about the music. We’ve watched her make headlines, build her brand, and navigate the industry in the public eye. Now she’s stepping out on her own, and this solo project gives her an opportunity to show another side of who she is as an artist. And let’s be clear, Atlanta isn’t just another city you stop through on a press run. The A has always been a major part of hip-hop culture. From breaking records to setting trends and influencing the sound of an entire generation, this city has played a major role in shaping the music industry. Our DJs, radio personalities, producers, artists, and clubs have helped turn records into hits long before the rest of the world caught on. So when artists come through Atlanta, tapping in with the people and getting their music heard, there’s a reason behind it. Caresha’s Atlanta run is a reminder that relationships and showing up still matter in this business. You can have the followers, the headlines, and the social media buzz, but getting out and connecting with the people who help move the culture is something different. And that’s exactly what this press run is about. With Watch Dis on the way, Caresha is making it clear that she’s ready for her next chapter. Whether you’ve been rocking with her since the City Girls days or you’re just waiting to see what she does next, she’s giving people a reason to pay attention. And as André 3000 of OutKast famously told the world at the 1995 Source Awards, “The South got something to say!” Thirty-one years later, Atlanta is still standing on that. Caresha came through the A, made her rounds, gave us a little taste of what’s coming, and now we’re waiting to hear what the rest of the project has to say.
